Earthquake Precursor using radon gas has the potential as a reliable precursor. After formation in soil or rock, radon gas Rn222 can leave the soil crust and be monitored. Research on earthquake precursors using radon gas which is currently being carried out by the Early Warning System Physical Engineering research team at Gadjah Mada University, has used a multi-device observation station system. One of the devices is an ion chamber for radon gas monitoring. The radon gas data are essential for current and future earthquake and seismic research. One of Indonesia's most important research projects is earthquake time, location, and magnitude prediction. Ion chambers are used to get the concentration of radon gas in the air by measuring alpha ions in the chamber. This transducer uses the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) function for communication with ESP32 as a microcontroller. After inspecting the existing system, ESP32 and ion chamber BLE communication have problems with delays in updating data on the device and an accuracy value of 82.63 on the database server level. The proposed BLE Notify and Write No Response method solves the problems. As a result, the accuracy value is 100 at the database server with no delay. This value is a modest increase compared to the existing version of the radon gas monitoring device. © 2024 American Institute of Physics Inc.. All rights reserved.
