Abstract
Based on data from the Electricity Supply Business Plan, in 2021-2030, a 298 kms transmission line will be built connecting the Ketapang subsystem and the Kalimantan grid. This interconnection will potentially reduce the operation of generating machines, especially diesel power plants in the Ketapang subsystem, but this will reduce reliability on the Ketapang side when there is a disconnected interconnection condition, so it is necessary to formulate the power transfer limit value from the interconnection system and also the composition of generators operating on the Ketapang side so that they can remain reliable and economical. In order to achieve this goal, an analysis of the optimal power flow with security constraints or Security Constrained Optimal Power Flow (SCOPF) is carried out by adding the permitted nadir frequency limit when a disconnected interconnection contingency condition occurs so that the subsystem remains survivable. The optimization method used is the Quadratic Programming method using the CPLEX solver, which was tested on the Kalimantan Interconnection System model. © 2025 IEEE.
