Abstract

The development of anthropogenic activities and plantations in the Dieng Plateau area has the potential to trigger the accumulation of fertilizer nutrients and anthropogenic factors. They can pollute domestic water which is dominated by springs as groundwater resources in Kejajar District, Wonosobo Regency. Hence, the objective of this study is to analyze the condition of spring water quality in terms of suitability for domestic purposes using Indonesian Modification of Water Quality Index (INA-WQI) and National Sanitation Foundation Water Quality Index (NSF-WQI). The research used purposive sampling based on spring discharge classification and spatial distribution. The water quality parameters that will be tested in the laboratory consist of 9 physical, chemical and biological parameters. These parameters consist of TDS, TSS, Temperature, Turbidity, pH, Ammonia, Total Phosphate, Nitrate, and Fecal coliform. The WQI calculations for both methods use modification scenarios of the number of parameters and weight values. The research results show that the condition of springs water quality in Kejajar District is is classified as safe for domestic needs because it is dominated by the excellent and good classifications. Except for several sample points such as Kalilempong Springs and Lirang Springs. © 2025 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.
