Trends and model of oligarchy politics in the world

This research aims to identify and see research trends on political oligarchy worldwide. Governments with an elected democratic political system and a parliamentary system are prone to exposure to oligarchy. A group of people’s interests are forced into a policy that has the potential to harm society. This research used a bibliometric analysis approach by evaluating the scope and trend of research on political oligarchy from various reputable international journals. Data was collected using Scopus to identify articles published in various international journals. This research is corroborated by CiteSpace analysis, which helps illustrate findings related to inter-network relationships, popular issues, and trends often debated among academics across countries. This research also helps find correlations between main topics and also find correlations between disciplinary fields. The findings provide information on research theme networks that are developing in each country and present data related to issues and political developments as well as shifts in the political map in each country. Research has also found that discussions related to oligarchy politics are closely related to democracy, voter behavior and political economy. In addition, each country has a different pattern of implementing oligarchy behavior, so there are different findings in looking at the factors that drive oligarchy in each country.
