Abstract

Breast cancer is a prevalent and potentially life threatening disease that requires comprehensive treatment strategies to improve patient outcomes. Cardiotoxicity poses a significant challenge in breast cancer treatment, as it can lead to severe cardiac complications during or after chemotherapy. In this paper, the study presents a stochastic model for estimating breast cancer treatment costs, considering the risk and cost associated with cardiotoxicity. The findings reveal that an increased number of new patients and a higher chance of breast cancer patients experiencing cardiotoxicity increase the total cost of treating all breast cancer patients.
