Abstract

Blockchain technology is increasingly recognized for its potential to address various challenges in Information Technology (IT), particularly concerning security and privacy. In Indonesia, a rapidly developing country, the adoption of blockchain is promising, driven by initiatives like Industry 4.0. This study provides a comprehensive review of the current state of blockchain research in Indonesia, using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology. The review focuses on publications from 2019 to 2024, sourced from Scopus, Science Direct, and IEEE Access databases, resulting in a total of 50 relevant papers. The analysis reveals a diverse range of research topics, with a strong emphasis on technical aspects (61.9), followed by social (20.7), economic (7.6), and other implications (9.8). The study also uncovers the collaborative efforts between universities, government, and industry sectors in advancing blockchain research. Despite the growing interest, the findings indicate that actual implementation of blockchain technology in Indonesia remains limited, highlighting a gap between research interest and practical application.
