Lagusia micracanthus is an endemic freshwater fish species of South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The present study performs morphometric characteristics and meristic counts to L. micracanthus inhabiting Ompo River, South Sulawesi. Fishes were collected from the Ompo River in April 2018. Morphometric and meristic measurements were performed by following methods of Vari (1978), Vari & Hutchins (1978) and Shelley et al. (2017). Other additional measurements were based on Hubbs & Lagler (1974). Statistical analysis such as regression equation and correlation coefficient was following method of Brraich and Akhter (2015). An amount of 31 morphometric characters and 9 meristic counts were recorded from 30 fishes. Analysis of correlation on morphometric characters demonstrates six characters with high correlation coefficient, eighteen characters with moderate coefficient, and six characters with low coefficient. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
