Eco-print is one of the dyeing techniques using natural dye materials. The dyeing technique in eco-print is carried out by transferring colors and shapes on fabric media or other media through direct contact. This research is a qualitative and quantitative descriptive research. The data were obtained by conducting literature review, field research and experiments. Field research is carried out by observing and identifying the potential of the surrounding environment that can be used as a coloring material in the eco-print technique. In this study, eco-print experiments were then carried out on sheep leather. The data from the experiment was analysed by visual observation and then tested in the laboratory with the parameters of the test of moisture, tensile strength, WVP and moisture content. The influence of temperature differences can make sheep leather water-resistant (waterproof), improve the quality of eco-print and also improve the quality of the leather and produce waterproof leather. Environmental humidity, water quality, and material storage conditions affect the eco-print and waterproofness of sheepskin. High humidity can slow down drying, resulting in less clear and fuzzy prints. The mineral content of water, such as pH and metals are important in the interaction between natural dyes and leather fibers. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.
