An estimated 7.3 million hectares of forest, which is roughly the size of the country of South Africa have been lost since 1990. Reforestation, which is often considered as a best solution to overcome this problem is proven to be expensive. Despite various funding process, it still falls short of their objectives 14. This paper analyzes the design process of mobile application for millennials to donate with or without money. Resulting application can show non-intrusive ads to the user to generate funds for restoration program. Researchers used User-centered design by Donald Arthur Norman to design and develop the product 9 and applied the principles of psychology of interaction design and gamification to increase the user engagement. Personalization features are used to put user in control on how and when they see ads. The usability testing of the app shows positive feedbacks and yields good result (1.246) in User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) by Hinderks et al. © 2020 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
