Abstract

Building a food security system involves all main actors including the community, government, industry and education. The Green Productivity Strategy can be applied in the education system at all levels of education with the stages of awareness, improvement and maintenance. A boarding school education foundation in Bekasi City that manages primary to senior secondary education levels was selected as a pilot project to describe the implementation of the Green Productivity Strategy and illustrate the strength of food security in the school, foundation and family environment. Paired Sample T-Test results show that there are differences in the improvement stage based on the level of education because tools, methods, technology and experts are required according to the needs in the era of knowledge and technology. The results of this study also show that the implementation of green productivity through education is a method that is expected to be integrated with all key actors to foster a culture of socializing with nature and the environment from an early age as an effort to welcome the demographic bonus in strengthening food security.
