Abstract

Main frame structural strength of new aircraft seat was studied using simulation method. Structural strength was considered by giving static loads to the structure based on emergency landing condition. Backward load 1.5 g, downward 6 g, forward 9 g, sideward 4 g, and upward 3 g was applied to the structure. Safety factor 1.33 was used as the minimum safe value strength of the structure. The results showed that minimum safety factor of backward, downward, forward, sideward and upward load simulations were 8.37, 8.72, 1.39, 1.50, and 14.02 respectively. Compare with other simulations the highest stress 232 MPa occurred in the main frame under forward load condition. The deformation of the main frame under forward load condition was 0.001 m. That value indicated that the main frame had no plastic deformation. © 2019 IEEE.
