Abstract

This research observed the effect of Photovoltaic (PV) penetration to the power system transient stability. Critical clearing time (CCT) calculation based on equal area criterion were used to evaluate the transient stability. The simulation result shows that PV penetration to a power system weakened transient stability. Furthermore, the greater PV penetration give more negative impact to transient stability. © 2019 IEEE.
