Abstract
Java Island lies between Sunda Block and Indo-Australian Plate. That tectonics configuration forms interplate the subduction zone off the southern Java and intraplate localized fault structure across Java Island. However, most of those onland active faults are poorly understood. The previous finding reported that Baribis Fault is the cause of three massive earthquakes that happened in Majalengka and twice in Jakarta. We present the deformation rate around Baribis Fault using twelve continuous geodetic observations. The result shows that the deformation rate of the station moves to the southeast around 2 mm per year, suggesting the Sunda Block motion effect. Therefore, the original observation rate was converted to Sunda Block reference using the most recent Euler Pole parameter. Our solution indicates the deformation rate around the Baribis fault is vary in space. Several observations indicate moves to the southeast such as CSUM, CPWK, CBTU, CJKT and BAKO station while CRKS, BKRW, and BTGR station move to the southwest. In other hands, BKS1 and BKS2 station move to the northwest, while CROL and SBNG move to the south and north respectively. © 2019 IEEE.
