Abstract

Two plant spacings, which were 25 x 25 cm and 20 x 20 cm, and four insecticides, which were Diazinon, Sevin, Lebaycid, and Lannate, had been tested in order to suppres viral and micoplasmal diseases on groundnut at Agricultural Trining, Research and Development Centre Gadjah Mada University.
The results indicated that narrower plant spacing was able to suppres the diseases and increase the yield.
The vector population at plots was very low. For this reason it was postulated that transmission of the diseases had been occured before the first time of insecticides application
