Abstract

The speed of technology utilization and the need for innovation can be seen in the rapid movement of learning towards online learning, including e-Learning. Outcome Based Education (OBE) is a strategy for bridging learning with the need for innovation. OBE promotes constructive alignment between learning outcomes, processes, and assessments. OBE is required in e-Learning, with assessments as an essential component. Unfortunately, assessment problems in e-Learning still exist, one of which is the limitations of e-Learning in accommodating and processing various assessment data, even though the variety of data, both numerical and linguistic, supports a comprehensive assessment according to OBE. This research proposes providing an e-Rubric on e-Learning to accommodate assessment data in linguistic. Furthermore, the assessment data, both numerical data obtained from the assessment module and linguistic data obtained from e-Rubric, were unified using the 2-tuple fuzzy linguistic. The result showed that the level of achievement presented in 2-tuple linguistic (s, α) could distinguish each learner's ability more specifically, where s indicates the level of ability in linguistic terms and α is a numeric value that shows the comparison of abilities with other learners, and the potential to achieve higher abilities. This model has the potential to be applied to a learner assessment system on e-Learning with the OBE approach.
