Abstract

This study was carried out by analysis based on geological surveys, compound composition, oxide groups, mineral types and crystallite sizes, as well as magnetic properties and magnetic susceptibility values. This measurement was carried out in the Lawu Volcanic Complex (LVC) which consists of the Old LVC and the Young LVC. Based on geological survey analysis, compound composition, mineral types, magnetic properties and magnetic susceptibility values, the Lawu volcanic complex has andesite-basalt rock types. Analysis of the composition and size of the crystallites showed that the rocks of the Young LVC were more basalt than the andesite complexes of the Old LVC.
