Abstract
The conjugate gradient method provides a straightforward approach to solve unconstrained optimization problems. In this paper, we propose a modified formula for the conjugate gradient parameter by adapting the RMIL method. The proposed method ensures sufficient descent and global convergence under certain assumptions, utilizing an exact line search. Experimental results validate the efficiency of the modified method. © 2023, International Association of Engineers
