Abstract

PT. PLN (Persero) initiated a pilot project in Surakarta and Denpasar to convert 1,000 households from LPG cookers to induction cookers, aiming to reduce LPG dependence. However, the monitoring process for induction cookers was inefficient due to human errors, remote locations, and time-consuming methods. To address this, an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) was implemented, comprising smart meters, a communication network (Cellular IoT), and a Meter Data Management System (MDMS). The smart meter is built using the NodeMCU Microcontroller, featuring a PZEM-004 T sensor module that achieves accurate electrical measurement with a 0.7% error rate. Additionally, it includes a solid-state relay for switching the induction cooker's power supply. The smart meter is classified as Class 1 for accuracy based on the IEC 61557-12 standard, attributed to its low 0.7% error rate. Cellular Internet of Things (CIoT)is employed as the communication network, connecting the smart meters to the MDMS, ensuring 100% data transmission success rate and a 0.6785-second delay in each transmission. The MDMS is developed as a website that displays and controls the induction cooker's electrical network, including the Login Page, Main Page, Smart Meter Dashboard, and Smart Meter Database. The implementation of the AMI system demonstrates PT. PLN's improved efficiency in managing and controlling data from induction cookers. This paper seeks to solve the previously mentioned problems by obtaining real-time data at specific intervals.
