Abstract

In this paper, problems involving steady pollutant spread from a point source in a path with laminar water flow are studied. Three different paths with different inclination angles are considered. The problems are governed by diffusion-convection equations. These governing equations may not be solved analytically. Hence, in this paper a numerical method called Dual Reciprocity Method (DRM) is employed to solve the problems numerically. The numerical solutions are presented to determine the effect or influence of inclination angles to the pollutant concentration in the water.
