Abstract

The connection between geospatial and geodetic technology on the one hand and land administration or land management on the other hand is often assumed but seldom thoroughly discussed through professional experiences and scientific connections. This chapter addresses how these technologies are creating fit-for-purpose land administration and land management solutions in the Indonesian and ASEAN context to facilitate public users to help surveyors conduct measurements of land parcels and to provide relevant land administration services. The chapter argues that the Covid pandemic has necessitated looking into alternative technological strategies of handling public participation in various types of land management interventions.
