Abstract

Sleman Regency is the largest producer of agricultural commodities in Yogyakarta Province. This study aims to examine the development of the agricultural sector's contribution, identify the spatial distribution of the agricultural sector as part of green space, and analyze the trend of the agricultural sector's contribution to the area of green space in Sleman Regency. The data used is secondary data in the form of GRDP data from BPS and land use area from BAPPEDA. The results show that income from the agricultural sector has increased. Still, its contribution to GRDP has decreased, as evidenced by the analysis of location quotients (LQ) as a non-basic sector. The area of agricultural land, including shrubland, vacant land, irrigated rice fields, rainfed rice fields, gardens, forest, and moor area, has decreased to 58.51 of the total area. This change has been caused by population growth and massive urbanization over the last few years and shows that the role of the agricultural sector in green space has decreased but still does not exceed the limit set by law.
