Abstract
The dense activity of aircraft at the airport leads to a strong mobilisation of transportation, generating noise. Meanwhile, increased aviation mobilisation has the potential to produce Pb metal since the utilisation of landscape plants is an effort to reduce noise and Pb. Therefore, this study aims to determine the ability of three species of landscape plants to absorb noise and Pb at Adisucipto airport, Yogyakarta in Indonesia. The study was conducted from August 2019 to September 2020, and the survey and the laboratory method were used with nested design data analysis followed by the Tukey HSD 5 test. The results showed that fan pine had a higher ability to absorb noise. On the contrary, croton had a higher ability to absorb Pb metal. © Universiti Putra Malaysia Press.
