Infrastructure development is the one of the factor of global warming as it has potential to produce carbon dioxide emissions more than 40. Indonesia is the fifth country which produces the most carbon dioxide emissions. The material distribution process also produces carbon dioxide emission and causes air pollution. Not only that, the building also uses fabricated materials that can be a source of environmental pollution. Green open space reduction, air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution increase that are a result of infrastructure development. Therefore, the implementation of green building concept is a solution for decreasing the risk of global warming in Indonesia. The purpose of green building concept is to reduce the environmental pollution. Implementation of green building concept isn't only applied for education building, but also it is applied for another building as Mardliyyah Islamic Center in Gadjah Mada University. Mardliyyah Islamic Center was completed in 2020. This study aims to evaluate the green building parameter in Mardliyyah Islamic Center. Assessment accordingly to Greenship New Building benchmarks by GBCI. The result of evaluation will be used as recommendation reference to raise Greenship New Building point. Based on the assessment, Mardliyyah Islamic Center UGM got 38 points and bronze predicate. Mardliyyah Islamic Center doesn't get point for ASD category. The landscape area less than 10 of total land area. Therefore, the building needs recommendations to increase the chance to get Greenship New Building points. The recommendations can be made by replacing paving block to grass block, provide bicycle parking facilities and shower, roof garden, lux sensor, solar cell, rainwater tank installation, periodic recording of water consumption, CO2 sensor installation, waste processing independently or in collaboration with third parties, use condensate water and soil moisture sensor to water plants, and survey to building user. If the recommendation is used that will increase the point to 60 points and gold predicate. © 2023 Author(s).
